Ellen Louise Allen

Ellen Louise Allen, 80, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her home. Born on September 7, 1943, in Dayton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Royal Vernon Harp, II and Lucille Kuykendall Harp. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to George Lloyd Allen.

Years ago, Ellen worked and retired from the Department of Defense. She was especially fond of hosting family gatherings at her family home.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Sheri Allen and husband Kevin Miller and Barry Allen and wife Karen, as well as 4 grandchildren, a great grandchild whom she loved dearly, and brothers: Larry Harp and wife Terry and Buddy Harp and wife Debbie.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 10-11 am at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am.

Interment will be private.
